Words that describe Agaricus

1. Twitching
Twitching and jerking are present with all the complaints of Agaricus. The twitching of the muscles becomes so extensive that it is a well-developed case of chorea.

2. Sensations
There are strange sensations here and there upon the skin or in parts, cold sensations, sensations of cold needles and of hot needles; stinging and burning where the circulation is feeble, about the ears, nose, back of hands and fingers and toes, red spots with itching and burning as if frostbitten. Throughout the body there is a sensation of creeping and crawling. 

3. Slowness
Slowness and dullness present throughout in this remedy. Children are late in learning to talk and walk (Late learning to talk - Nat. M.; Late learning to walk - Calc. Carb.). Children who cannot remember, make mistakes and are slow in learning. The condition of the mind is one in which they are slow to grasp ideas; wrong words float in kaleidoscopically.

4. Coition aggravation
All the symptoms of Agaricus are also aggravated after sexual intercourse, especially in the symptoms of the spinal cord. It is useful for the symptoms which come on after coition in young, nervous married women, hysterical fainting after coition. Complaints after sexual excitement, debauch, etc., in the woman, fainting; in the man, weakness.

5. Morning aggravation
In the morning he is tired and sluggish and this may last till noon. The mental symptoms are worse in the morning and are relieved towards evening.

Concomitants: Twitching and jerking.

Keynotes of Agaricus :-

1. Persons with light hair; skin and muscles lax. Old people with weak, indolent circulation.

2. Bad effects after a debauch.

3. Chilblains, that itch and burn intolerably; frostbite and all consequences of exposure to cold, especially in face.

4. Sensation as if pierced by needles of ice. 

5. Sensitive to pressure and cold air. 

6. Symptoms appear diagonally as right arm and left leg.

7. Loquacity. 

8. Aversion to work. Indifference. 

9. Fearlessness. 

10. Delirium characterized by singing, shouting, and muttering; rhymes and prophesies. 

11. Vertigo from sunlight, and on walking. 

12. Reading difficult, as type seems to move, to swim. 

13. Nosebleed in old people.

14. Gastric disturbance with sharp pains in liver region.

15. Spasmodic cough at night after falling asleep, with expectoration of little balls of mucus. Cough ends in a sneeze.

16. Irregular, tumultuous palpitation, after tobacco.

17. Twitching of cervical muscles.

18. Burning, itching, redness, and swelling, as from frostbite.
